The Paige Agency
Paige Insurance Agency is considered one of the
oldest independent insurance agencies in New Hampshire with ownership
dating back to 1870. Historical records indicate that S.J. Kelly
received an appointment from N.H. Fire Insurance Company on April 1,
1870 in Pittsfield. Several local families have maintained ownership
since that period with the Paige family controlling the business from
1924 when the agency was known as Harriman, Freese and Paige.
Upon the retirement of third generation owner
Gilbert Paige in 1986, Scott R. Brown purchased the agency and has
overseen the modernization of the agency to the insurance standards of
today. The Paige Agency prides itself on small town customer service
while representing some of the finest insurance companies in the
United States. Our longtime staff is committed to customer
satisfaction. All our employees are well trained and committed to
education through the Certified Insurance Councilor program.
The Paige Agency has recently broadened our business
offerings to include more financial services and access to investment products to
provide one stop shopping for our personal and commercial clients. We

Stephanie Lamere
Stephanie has worked her entire career at the Paige
Agency. Stephanie hired on while still in high school in 1988. Since
joining Paige, she has become both a Certified Insurance Customer
Service Representative and a Certified Insurance Counselor.
Stephanie specializes in Personal lines. She works
primarily with our individual policyholders, helping them to find the
best homeowners and automobile insurance solutions.
Stephanie lives in Pittsfield with her husband Peter
and their two boys. She is a past president of the Pittsfield PTO and
remains active in the community and the schools.
Eric Bahr
The newest member of the Paige team, Eric’s
background includes experience in both the financial and manufacturing
fields. Eric graduated from the Fisher College of Business at The
Ohio State University in 1987 with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics. In addition to working with different
insurance companies and brokerages, Eric also spent time working for
several plastics and chemical manufacturing companies. During that
time, he earned an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University.
Eric’s focus is on group benefits, life and
health insurance products.
Eric and his wife Michelle live in Pittsfield.
Eric is an active Rotarian and also serves the town as a member of
both the Planning Board and Budget Committee.
Scott Brown
Scott has been in the insurance business since
graduating from the University of New Hampshire’s Whittimore School of
business in 1977. Travelers Insurance was the first stop out of
college and proved to be a great training ground in all areas of
underwriting and marketing working with independent agents from
throughout New England. During this time, Scott went to night school
to earn an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University.
After 10 years of company service in offices in
New Hampshire and Massachusetts, Scott left the corporate world to
purchase Paige Insurance Agency in 1986. Scott earned his Certified
Insurance Counselor designation in 1988 and is licensed in several
states for both property/casualty and life and health. Scott
specializes in business insurance for our commercial clients in
central New Hampshire.
Scott has lived in Pittsfield since 1988 with his
wife Arlene and their three children. He is active in various
community activities including the Pittsfield Rotary Club and
Pittsfield Dollars for Scholars. He is past president of the
Professional Insurance Agents of New Hampshire and has been Chairman
of the Pittsfield School Board for several years.
Janice Tuttle
Jan earned her bachelors degree in English at Eastern Connecticut State University and went on to earn her master’s degree from River College in 1980.
She joined The Paige Agency in 1988 and is a Certified Insurance Service Representative as well as a Certified Insurance Counselor.
Before joining The Paige Agency, Jan was a sales associate for American Mutual and later became a producer for a large agency.
Jan specializes in personal as well as commercial insurance.
She works with individual customers to assess their insurance needs.
She strives to place coverage with the company that meets their needs in terms of coverage and competitive pricing.
Jan lives in Nottingham with her husband, Jim,
and keeps busy with church volunteer projects as well as craft projects and gardening.
